New industrial zone on 100 ha planned in Lucani

The completion of the Preljina-Pozega section of the Milos Veliki highway has many benefits - in addition to making the traffic much safer and more secure, it will also influence the progress and developed of the towns and municipalities of the western part of Serbia, which will be connected with tourism centers via the new traffic route, and their distance from the capital city will be shorter. The Municipality of Lucani will be connected to the network of highways in the Republic of Serbia, which will considerably strengthen the economy of the Dragacevo area.

– The local self-government has undertaken a range of activities for the opening of a new industrial zone on an area of 100 hectares, which will be located in parts of the Krstac and Puhovo local communities. The necessary documentation for the construction of a bridge on the river Bjelica, which will lead to the new industrial zone, is being prepared. The beginning of the design is in progress, and in certain pre-activities, we are cooperating closely with the Ministry of Transport, Construction and Infrastructure and the Public Enterprise Roads of Serbia. The preparation of the Detailed Regulation Plan creates the pre-conditions for the designing of the industrial zone, which will be discussed in more detail at the Assembly at the end of May – said Milivoje Dolovic, the president of the municipality of Lucani.
