Year-on-year inflation in Serbia in April 4%, month-on-month 0.3%

Consumer prices in April 2025 increased by 4.0% in relation to April 2024, whereas prices of goods and services used for personal consumption in April 2025 in relation to March 2025 increased by 0.3%, on average, announced the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.

Consumer prices, which are used to measure the inflation, in April 2025 in relation to December 2024 increased by 1.5% on average.

Observed by main groups according to the destination of consumption, in April 2025 in relation to the previous month, increase of prices was noted in the groups Clothing and footwear (2.4%), Food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.9%), Restaurants and hotels (0.6%), Health (0.3%) and Education (0.1%).

Decrease of prices was noted in the groups Transport (-1.3%), Alcoholic beverages and tobacco (-0.2%) and Recreation and culture (-0.1%).
