American IT company HYPR opens European Center of Excellence in Belgrade

HYPR, the Identity Assurance Company, has opened a European Center of Excellence in Belgrade, whereby, as they announced, they have additionally accelerated their global growth strategy and responded to the surging demand for their passwordless authentication and identity verification solutions.

This investment enables the company to even more efficiently support its global user base, while relying on highly-qualified IT experts from Serbia.

– Our new Belgrade office represents a strategic investment in HYPR’s future – said Bojan Simic, co-founder and CEO of HYPR. – As threats like sophisticated phishing campaigns and the alarming trend of North Korean hackers infiltrating IT departments continue to make headlines, organizations worldwide are recognizing that robust identity assurance is non-negotiable.

HYPR says that, from Belgrade, they will manage key operations and solution development, with planned employment of experts for various positions in the technical and commercial sectors.

The opening of the new office is accompanied by the latest State of Passwordless Identity Assurance Report, which reveals that an overwhelming 87% of the security incidents in 2024 are attributed to identity vulnerabilities, whereas nearly 40% of the organizations reported a security incident caused by generative artificial intelligence. HYPR’s Affirm solution for identity verification is already used in a large number of organizations – from small enterprises to big corporations – to prevent employee onboarding fraud, check user identity and for verification during high-risk transactions.

HYPR was founded in the USA, and today it operates globally, with clients in the sectors of financial services, healthcare and other industries that are particularly exposed to cyber threats.
