Who is the new head of IMF Mission to Serbia?

The International Monetary Fund has announced that Annette Kyobe will be the new head of the IMF Mission to Serbia.

– Ms. Kyobe has previously performed the duty of the head of the mission and resident representative for Russia, the head of the mission for North Macedonia, as well as an assistant to the director of the European Department of the IMF – announced the resident representative of the IMF for Serbia, Lev Ratnovski.

Annette Kyobe is a global economy researcher. She has published papers on a wide range of topics, including gender, fiscal policy, financial development, structural reforms, macroeconomic stability and international finance.

Annette Kyobe was the International Monetary Fund’s resident representative in Russia. Before that, she served as an assistant to the director of the European Department focusing on euro area issues.


She also worked extensively on Emerging Markets in the Strategy and Policy Review Department. Kyobe has undertaken numerous other assignments, including in the Fiscal Affairs Department and working on Djibouti, Lebanon, Jordan, Poland, and Russia.

Annette Kyobe holds a Ph.D. from the George Washington University in the United Sates and McGill University in Canada. She joined the IMF in 2009, according to the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs in Moscow.
