Selection of councillor for privatization of Electric Power Company of Serbia entered final phase

Serbian Minister of Mining and Energy Radomir Naumov stated that the domestic oil sector, due to global and dramatic changes on the world oil market, was in the very attractive period for privatization.

- Due to such changes, it is very important that the job of the privatization councillor for Petroleum Industry of Serbia be completed in some reasonable period and that Serbian oil company be privatized in accordance with the project task adopted by the Republic Government - Minister pointed out.

He reminded that the Government of Serbia had signed the Contract with privatization councillor for NIS - consortium "Merryl Lynch International", of which task was to suggest strategy for privatization of NIS.

Besides, the Minister stated that the tender for selection of councillor for promotion of organizational, financial and investment performances in EPS had entered the final phase, as well as that the tender had been announced for potential strategic partners for continuation of construction of steam power plant of about 700 MW on location "Kolubara B".
