As part of the pan-European network EDIH (European Digital Innovation Hubs), Capital Innovation Point Serbia (CIPS), a new European hub for digital innovation, will provide comprehensive support to startups and small and medium-sized enterprises in Serbia in the process of digital transformation over the next four years - through technical and mentoring support, training, connecting with investors and access to the latest technologies.

The goal is to strengthen competitiveness in the field of innovation, open new markets and achieve a stronger integration with European innovation ecosystems.

The CIPS project is co-financed by the European Union through the Digital Europe program.

CIPS functions as a national network with Science and Technology Park Belgrade as the project coordinator and partners: NALED, Science and Technology Park Novi Sad, State Data Center in Kragujevac and the Faculty of Technical Sciences at the University of Novi Sad. Associate partners in the project are the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Belgrade and the Institute of Physics.

As part of the EDIH network, CIPS will contribute to the strengthening of the competitiveness of Serbian companies, the opening of new markets and a stronger connection with European innovation ecosystems. This opens the door for domestic companies to knowledge, tools and resources that were mostly available to more developed markets - creating new opportunities for the digital advancement of the Serbian economy - it was emphasized at the presentation.

The project will provide technical and mentoring support, training in business and technical skills, as well as activities aimed at improving access to financing and internationalization of business.

Special focus is placed on sectors of strategic importance: artificial intelligence, cyber security, digital services, smart production, agritech and MedTech, which further encourages the development of innovations in areas with high growth potential.
