A1 Telekom plans to invest EUR 250 to 300 million in Serbia

A1 Telekom Austria Group has so far invested EUR 1.2 billion in Serbia, and in the coming period it will continue with the implementation of strategic plans and invest an additional EUR 250 to 300 million, announced the CEO of this company, Alejandro Plater, at a meeting with the Minister of Information and Telecommunications in the technical mandate, Dejan Ristic.

Ristic and Plater pointed out the importance of further development of telecommunications infrastructure as a key driver of digital transformation and economic growth. They both emphasized their readiness to implement development projects with the aim of providing the citizens of Serbia and the economy with modern and reliable telecommunication services in accordance with the highest international standards.


The visit of the CEO of one of the world's leading telecommunications companies further strengthens the position of Serbia as a regional leader in the field of economy, especially telecommunications, according to the announcement of the Government of Serbia.

A1 Telekom Austria Group is part of the Mexican telecommunications conglomerate America Movil, and operates in seven European countries, namely Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia.
