Implementation of reciprocal tariffs of USA towards Serbia postponed

The application of reciprocal tariffs of the USA for the Republic of Serbia is postponed for 90 days, more precisely, the introduction of a 37% tariff on the import of Serbian goods into the USA is being postponed, the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS) announced.

– The amount of customs duties for the import of goods from the Republic of Serbia remains at the level of 10% (according to the previous US Regulation of April 5, 2025). Also, according to current information, customs duties that were previously introduced on the import of aluminum, cars and auto parts in the USA, still remain at the level of 25% – says the CCIS.

The decision to postpone the implementation of reciprocal tariffs will allow countries, trade partners of the US to prepare their negotiating positions with the US administration. Undoubtedly, this decision of the USA will greatly contribute to the calming down of economic tensions in the world, which, with its initial application, could have caused tectonic disruptions in foreign trade and the overall world exchange, according to the CCIS.
