JFE Shoji Serbia factory opened in Indjija - Production of metal parts for electric motors

The plant of the Japanese factory for the production of metal parts for electric motors, JFE Shoji Serbia, was opened in Indjija, which, as announced, will employ 50 workers in the first phase. It is an investment worth more than EUR 50 million.

The plan, as pointed out at the opening, is to employ 200 more workers in the next year after training employees to work on high technologies, it was stated on the website of the Provincial Government.

- The factory is equipped with the most modern equipment. Serbia has a favorable investment environment. The company JFE Shoji plays a significant role in the production of steel products in various sectors. Engine cores for various purposes will be produced in this factory - said the Ambassador of Japan Akira Imamura, Dnevnik reports.
This Japanese company was founded in 1954, employs more than 8,500 people worldwide, operates in the steel industry, and the plant in Indjija is the first in Europe owned by JFE Shoji.

The opening of the factory was attended by the President of the Provincial Government Maja Gojkovic, the Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali, the Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarovic and the President of the Municipality of Indjija Marko Gasic.

U fabriku za proizvodnju metalnih delova za elektromotore je investirano oko 50 mil EUR. Planirano je da u fabrici, na prostoru od 18.000 m2, prvoj u Evropi u vlasništvu JFE Shoji, u prvoj fazi bude zaposleno do 150 ljudi.
