Financial injection of 500 million CSD for development of mountain tourism in Serbia, Stara Planina mountain - priority


Minister of Trade, Tourism and Services of Serbia, Bojan Dimitrijević, said that the Government of Serbia would invest 500 million CSD in 2006 in the development of mountain tourism in nine regions in Serbia.
Explaining the Government's Draft Law on ski centers in Serbia to the representatives in the National Parliament, Dimitrijević pointed out that it would be the first investment into tourism and public utility infrastructure of mountains in the last 10 years and that the highest priorty would be given to Stara Planina mountain.
He stated that the development of mountain ski center and ski tourism was one of the most important tourist products of Serbia, which demanded investments and significant institutional support.
Draft Law on ski center regulates founding of Public Company for management and control of ski centers, whereas the suggested solutions completely regulate all issues related to work of ski centers and security of tourists.
