UK Export Finance will finance capital projects in Serbia

The Minister of Finance, Sinisa Mali, signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the British export credit agency UK Export Finance, which, as it was announced, set the framework for further financing of capital projects in Serbia.

The signing of the Memorandum took place during the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain, David Lammy, to Belgrade.

- The good news is that we have a positive trend when it comes to the growth of trade exchange, especially services, but increasingly also goods, as well as the growing influx of investments from British companies and investment funds. In 2024, the total exchange of goods and services with the UK will exceed EUR 2.4 billion - said Mali.

He added that there is room for intensifying cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, energy,

and he believes that we will jointly use that potential.

By the way, the representatives of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland signed two more memoranda.

Memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the United Kingdom on the improvement of cooperation in the fight against organized crime in the area of migration signed by the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Internal Affairs in the technical mandate, Ivica Dačić and Lami.

Memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications of Serbia and the Office for Foreign Affairs, the affairs of the Commonwealth and the development of the United Kingdom were signed by the Minister of Information and Telecommunications in the technical mandate Dejan Ristic and Lami.
