By signing the contract on procurement of hotel "Metropol", Greek company "Sofija Hotel Balkan", has officially became the owner of that representative facility in the center of Belgrade.
- With the sale of hotels "Metropol" and "Jugoslavija", which operate as part of company "Dunav osiguranje" since 2000, the situation on the real estates market in Serbia has been stabilized and higher prices have been reached in the local hotel industry - said Mirko Petrović, director general of "Dunav osiguranje".
He reminded that, few months ago, hotel “Jugoslavija" had been sold for over 31 million EUR, while the price of hotel "Metropol" had risen from the initial 16m to 27.4m EUR.
- However, it is much more important that “Metropol" is sold to the renowned investor who intends to invest another 20 million EUR in the renovation of the facility - Petrović explains.
The owner of Greek hotel chain, Joanis Nikolaos Daskalantonakis, pointed out that that company invested only in the hotels of “de lux" category, so that "Metropol" would be very soon prepared for reception of the Statesmen and the guests of the highest rank.
