EMX Royalty, a partner corporation of Zijin Mining, announced that Zijin has reported a significant discovery at the Timok project in Serbia. The newly discovered copper-gold deposit, Malka Golaja, located 7 km southeast of the Čukaru Peki mine, contains approximately 2.81 million tons of copper at an average grade of 1.87% and 92 tons of gold at an average grade of 0.61 g/t.

The numbers given by Zijin for copper and gold refer to tons of contained metal, which corresponds to a figure of approximately 150 million tons of mineralized material.

In addition, the Malka Golaj deposit remains open on the periphery, indicating significant potential for further mineral exploration.

This discovery, as reported by foreign media, was included in Zijin's annual results report for 2024.
