Online eVisa system coming soon

Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djuric and Director of the Office for Information Technology and Electronic Governance Mihailo Jovanovic signed a Protocol on Cooperation Regarding the Improvement and Data Migration of the Visa Information System, the Government has announced.


On this occasion, Djuric stressed that Serbia is on the verge of a significant step forward in the modernization of consular services, thanks to the cooperation between the Ministry and the Office. He announced that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be the first institution to use a digital seal, and the launch of the eVisa issuance system is expected soon.

Director of the Office Mihailo Jovanovic emphasized that the visa information system will first be transferred to the state data center, upon which, it will be upgraded and new electronic services will be developed. He particularly emphasized the importance of the Portal for Foreigners, through which almost 44,000 applications for temporary residence and work have been resolved so far.

Additional digital services have also been announced as part of preparations for the Specialized Exhibition "EXPO 2027", to enable electronic submission of visa applications for all participants of the event.
