Delta announces investments of EUR 1 billion

It is important to support local investments which essentially contribute to the development of the economy, pointed out Andrej Sovrovic at the Kopaonik Business Forum and added that the planned investments of Delta Holding amounted to close to EUR 1 billion and that they were projects with a wider social importance.

Last year, Delta Holding realized an income of EUR 942 million, which is a 10% growth, and an EBITDA of EUR 116 million, whereas the income planned for 2025 is EUR 1,221 million. The focus and the key areas of the company’s investments will be real estate, agriculture and e-commerce, where a long-term potential for growth and development has been recognized.

– Delta doesn’t just invest in business operations, we also invest in people, knowledge and market development. Sava Centar is the best example, we invested more than EUR 120 million and returned to Belgrade not just a symbol of the city, but also a new dimension of congress tourism. In May, Sava Centar will host a congress with 7,000 delegates, which means a full city, filled-out hotels and a stimulation to the whole industry – said Sovrovic.

Delta is continuing in the same direction – Delta District, a modern residential-office complex which will fully change the landscape of the city, and the return of the Hotel InterContinental to Belgrade after 20 years are important for the further urban development of the capital city, whereas investments in agriculture and the e-commerce sector are strengthening the ecosystem which not only server the company, but also the entire market.

In addition to capital investment, a key focus is on the development of human capital.

– It is important to invest in knowledge and strengthen the bond between formal education and the economy, because, without that, there is no long-term economic progress – added Sovrovic, a member of the Executive Board of Delta Holding.
