Aleksandar Kostic opens Kopaonik Business Forum 2025

Aleksandar Kostic, the president of MK Group and the chairman of the Managing Board of AIK Bank, opened this year’s Kopaonik Business Forum with an exclusive talk with Minja Miletic in front of the filled-out hall at the Hotel Grand Kopaonik. Aleksandar Kostic talked about the strategic investments of MK Group and AIK Bank, about the business vision and the importance of the development of our region, as well as about the precious advice he had gotten from his father, businessman and philanthropist Miodrag Kostic.

– Today, we are living in a new industrial revolution and artificial intelligence is located in its center. I believe that we have to be smart and see where the world is moving, to follow the trends and adapt our business operations – Aleksandar Kostic said and added that investments in digitization were profitable and that those trends had been present in MK Group and AIK Bank since 2010.

He pointed out that the business environment in Serbia and the region had a positive climate regarding future investments.

– Serbia is a leader when it comes to economic growth and everybody who wants to be regionally successful in business today has to operate in Serbia. In all the markets we operate in, including Croatia and Slovenia, which are part of the European Union, we feel at home – Aleksandar Kostic pointed out and added that he supported the arrival of foreign companies to Serbia.

He said that he was satisfied with the results achieved in 2024 and revealed that 2025 had been budgeted as a record-setting year and that he believed that the management team would manage to achieve the set goals, despite the challenges relating to workforce and finding quality staff that all businesses in Serbia, but also outside it, were facing.

– Social responsibility and philanthropy are extremely important in today’s business. There is no successful company which doesn’t take care of the environment in which it operates. The Palace of Science is our contribution to the future and development of young people and our long-term goal is for a new Serbian scientist to originate in it – Aleksandar Kostic and revealed at the end that the best advice was the one he had gotten from his father, Miodrag Kostic, namely, that nobody can take away knowledge from us and we need to continuously work on personal development.
