All taxi vehicles in Belgrade to be painted white exclusively from March 10

All Belgrade taxi drivers will have to use exclusively all-white vehicles, without stickers or any other marks, from March 10. This obligation is envisaged in the Decision on the Amendments to the Decision on Taxi Transport, which came into effect on January 7 this year.

Let us remind that, initially, it was planned for all taxi vehicles in the capital city to have to be white from May 8, 2024, and that it was announced that taxi drivers who failed to comply would have to pay a penalty of RSD 40,000. Certain media reported at the time that, at that moment, nearly everybody had complied with the decision which had come into effect on 2021, but this moving of the deadline points to the fact that this is not exactly true.

It should also be reminded that numerous taxi drivers used state subsidies, which amounted to EUR 8,000 per vehicle.
