The president of the Provincial Government, Maja Gojkovic, said at the meeting with representatives of the Chinese company that it was a big investment and pointed out that the Provincial Government would give contribution and support to the realization of that project, so that the conditions for the beginning of the construction would be met.
The general director of PowerChina Resources, Yang Tianfu, estimated that Vetrozelena would have a positive impact on the country’s economy.
The Vetrozelena wind farm will be situated in a location around 40 northeast from Belgrade, in the territory of the municipality of Pancevo, that is, the territory of the cadastral municipalities Dolovo and Banatsko Novo Selo, and as can be seen on the official web presentation of the project, it is planned to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2026.

By the way, in this project, the Chinese company PowerChina Resources is the strategic partner of CWP Europe, one of the leading companies when it comes to development of RES projects in Serbia and the region.
Vetrozelena is the second RES project that CWP is realizing in the country, following the Cibuk wind farm (158 MW of installed capacity). The Vetrozelena project will be twice as big, with an installed power of 300 MW and 48 wind generators.
The production of green electric energy will reduce CO2 emissions by 820,000 tons each year, which will support the goals of the energy transition of Serbia.
