The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, stated in Banjaluka, following a meeting with the president of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, that he didn’t understand why political barriers to projects such as the construction of an airport in Trebinje were being set up in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and offered BiH to take part in the construction of an airport near Sjenica on the Pester Plateau.

At a joint press conference with Dodik, Vucic said that the two of them had talked about the airport in Trebinje and that he had suggested to Dodik to talk to people from Sarajevo about the airport near Sjenica if he wanted to do so.

– We have no problem with it, because I see that some people see it as a kind of a political project. For us, it is an important economic project and we have no problem with it if they want to take part in the construction or finance the construction of the airport near Sjenica, on Paster, or anywhere. We will welcome it with both hands – said Vucic.
