TOS: Serbia in first place by tourist traffic growth

At the Global Leaders Forum held in Dublin, in which the director of the Tourist Organization of Serbia, Marija Labovic, is participating, Serbia has been recognized as the number one country when it comes to the growth of tourist traffic, TOS announced. Also, the expectations are that our country will continue to be at the very top of the demand.

These results for our country were presented by Adrian Cooper, the executive director of Oxford Economics, a leading global firm for economic advice, at the panel Economic Trends and the Direction of Tourism.

The director of TOS, Marija Labovic, who had important discussions with numerous colleagues, directors of international institutions and companies at this forum, emphasized the importance of our country’s participation in such an event for positioning at the international level.

– To be recognized as the number one country in terms of the growth of tourist traffic, and at such a forum, where almost the whole world is present, to hear estimates that we will be at the very top of the world in the future, is an immeasurable success, because our work in promoting Serbia as a tourist destination has been recognized. Such news and estimates are a great incentive for us to continue in the same direction and for the year 2025 to be even better than the so far record year of 2024 when it comes to the growth of tourism – emphasized Labovic.

At the Global Leaders Forum, which began on February 11 and ends today, in addition to Serbia, the USA, Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Montenegro, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Switzerland and Great Britain are participating.
