Representatives of the Serbian government and Germany's Bosch signed today in the Presidency of Serbia a framework agreement on an investment in the factory in Pecinci, which will be producing wiper systems for cars. A total of EUR 70 million is expected to be invested in that factory.
The plan is to start the construction of that 22,000-square-meter factory in early 2012 and finish it in 2019.
According to the plan, the production at that factory should begin in early 2013. The factory will first employ 60 workers and later increase that number to a total of 620.
The new production facility in Pecinci, which will be named Rober Bosch Belgrade, will be part of Bosch's business system engaged in the production of electric motors for car seats and windows and wiper components.
Bosch's electric motor production system is comprised of 12 production units worldwide and employs about 12,000 people.
The agreement on Bosch's investment in Serbia was signed in the presence of Serbian President Boris Tadic.
