Bridge on the Sava near Obrenovac opens for traffic


The bridge on the Sava near Obrenovac was today opened for traffic. A total of RSD 1.5 billion were invested in the construction of this bridge by the City of Belgrade and the Ministry of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning.
The steel part of the bridge across the river is 442 meters long, the lenght of an access ramp on the Surcin side of the bridge is 180 meters, so that the entire structure of the bridge is 622 meters long.
That is the only bridge between Sabac and Ostruznica. It is 14.5 meters wide and has two traffic lanes, pavements on both sides and two belts for installations and infrastructure.
The bridge on the Sava, which connects Obrenovac and Surcin, is part of so-called Srem Gazela route that will run from the bridge to the Dobanovci cloverleaf interchange on the highway.
