The Public Utility Company Belgrade Heating Plants (Beogradske elektrane) is planning a project for the accumulation of heating energy, which, they say, is a new thing in this part of Europe.

At this company, projects are ongoing which will improve the quality of their services, and one of them is a project for the storage of heating energy.

– We are currently in the phase of designing a reservoir for the storage of heating energy so that we would be able to use that energy when certain peaks occur, that is, when low temperatures occur, so that we would also help Srbijagas by not withdrawing large quantities of gas at once – says Vanja Vukic, the director of the Belgrade Heating Plants.

In addition to this project, the PUC Belgrade Heating Plants is also working on expanding its networks, reconstructing the heating plants and projects of innovative ways of heating.

The PUC Belgrade Heating Plants heats over 360,000 apartments, and in 2024 alone, 12,000 new apartments were connected to the heating pipeline system.
