In 11 months of 2024, ICT sector of Serbia reaches exports worth EUR 3.7 billion

In the first eleven months of 2024, the export of products and services in the field of information and communications technologies (ICT) from Serbia reached the value of EUR 3.7 billion, which is 20% more than in the same period in 2023, stated the minister of information and telecommunications, Dejan Ristic.

– Also, from 2012 until 2023, the revenues from the export of services and products within this industry increased 10 times, so, in 2023, they amounted to EUR 3.4 billion, whereas in 2024, they surpassed EUR 4 billion – he said at the panel “Physical and Digital Infrastructure” at the Business Forum Serbia-Italy, announced the ministry.

He told the Italian business people about the developed legislative framework and the infrastructural ecosystem within the ICT sector that Serbia had developed in the preceding years.


He cited the advantages and benefits of investing in that segment of the Serbian economy and talked about the projects and plans for further development of the telecommunications infrastructure, as well as the possibilities for intensifying the cooperation with Italy in ICT. He emphasized that there was a developed ICT community in Serbia, consisting of science-technology parks, hundreds of startups, a range of research centers and several science institutes.
