Regional Construction Academy founded

In association with its partners from Austria and Croatia, the construction company Dom presented on November 29th in Belgrade the regional project Construction Academy, which is aimed at strengthening the construction sector and forming and building a regional development and educational center for the building industry.
The project Construction Academy is financed by the Austrian Development Agency - ADA, and its holder is Austria's Porr GmbH.
The project will be implemented in Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, and it will take 18 months to finish its implementation.
The aim of ADA's project is to raise the level of knowledge and skills of people working in the construction sector to contribute, primarily, to the development of the economy, as well as to the development of the labor market and the reduction of the unemployment and poverty rates.
The academy will be organizing training courses for benders, carpenters, masons and others in demand in the market.
That project is necessary to improve the competitiveness of construction companies in the region, strengthen the construction sector, qualify unemployed construction workers and help them be hired for international projects, the organizers announced.
