In the year behind us, Serbia was first in Europe when it comes to the rate of arrivals and overnight stays of tourists, primarily foreign guests, and the revenues from foreign guests were also at an all-time high. Mountain centers in Serbia are attracting more and more tourists, as are spas and city destinations. As the statistics indicate, a growth of the number of guests from Europe, but also from Asia, is also recorded. Tourism officials in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina also boast good statistical indicators when it comes to the number of guests and the number of overnight stays.

The tourism offer in these three countries, from year to year, is getting more and more hotels, wellness and spa facilities of high category, and there are also increasingly more features for guests from the country and abroad who have more specific desires and needs. Not just at the seaside, spas and on mountains either, but also in city centers in the region. There are also more capacities which meet the high requirements of congress tourism, as well as carefully designed team-building, gastronomy and wine tours, within which both local and foreign tourists have the opportunity to learn about the cultural and historical heritage in these areas.

Even with all this, there is still talk about the unused potential of Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of tourism and hospitality, but those potentials could soon be turned into well-used business opportunities which will increase the attractiveness and the offer in all the mentioned fields.

Which niches of tourism and hospitality do currently have the biggest potential when it comes to the further development of investments in these two fields? What are the motives which increasingly stimulate investments in the hotel sector and hotel capacities? What are the latest requests, needs and desires of the increasing number of tourists who are visiting our areas and are tourism officials already adapting to them?

These, but also numerous other topics and issues will be discussed in the new Special Edition Newsletter “Tourism and Hospitality – Say Yes to New Adventures!”, which will be published on March 13. In it, we will also examine what the current tourism and hospitality offer looks like in Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which challenges these fields are facing and how they are successfully overcoming them and which solutions they are using.

All these topics will be discussed with long-standing officials and experts in tourism and hospitality and other competent actors in these fields, but also everybody else who combines tradition and innovations and introduces new technological and other solutions which make the tourism and hospitality offer in these areas increasingly attractive with each year. We will analyze the current events, situation and trends and we will also point out what the projections are concerning the future and the development of various sectors and niches of tourism and hospitality in this part of the Old Continent.
