Subsidies for electric vehicles up to EUR 5,000 this year as well

The Government of Serbia has adopted the Regulation on the conditions and manner of implementing subsidized purchases of new electric vehicles for 2025, whereby those interested in purchasing these vehicles will be able to count on state support in the amount of up to EUR 5,000 this year as well, said Minister of Environmental Protection Irena Vujovic.

Vujovic stated that individuals, entrepreneurs and legal entities would be able to submit applications for that type of subsidy to the Ministry of Environmental Protection from February 3, ending on October 31.

- We have allocated 170 million dinars for this measure this year, and depending on the type of vehicle, we have envisaged the amount of the subsidy from EUR 250 to EUR 5,000 - said the minister.

She expressed her belief that the production of the Fiat Grande Panda electric car at the Kragujevac factory would give an additional boost to the demand for subsidies, because that model of electric vehicle could also be eligible for support in the amount of EUR 5,000.

- If, as in previous years, it turns out that the demand has exceeded the provided amount, we will do our best to allocate additional funds for everyone who submitted a request within the stipulated deadline so that, with the support of the state, they can purchase an environmentally friendly vehicle - stated Vujovic.
