Government of Montenegro announces tender for design of new documents, new passports by the end of 2006

Montenegrin Government would announce international tender for the design of new documents, including passports of Montenegro, in May 2006, assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, Dragan Sekulović, announced.

He said that the strict criteria had been defined for the design of the documents, especially passports, and that some well-known companies from USA and EU countries had already expressed their interest in participation in that business.

According to his words, the tender will last one month and the plan is that the new passports, if the outcome of the referendum is independence of Montenegro, be issued by the end of the year 2006.
