Reconstruction and extension of GAK Visegradska worth EUR 39.3 million possible this year – Opening of tender planned by March

This year, the Ministry of Public Investment plans to open a public procurement procedure for the execution of the works on the reconstruction and expansion of the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Clinical Center of Serbia with an annex, which is the official name of the popularly known GAK in Visegradska Street, and the value of this job has been estimated at RSD 4.6 billion (around EUR 39.2 million).

As can be seen from the first published plan of public procurement procedures of this ministry for 2025, the opening of the tender is planned for the first quarter.

There was talk about the reconstruction of this clinic in 2023, when the then minister of public investment, Marko Blagojevic, said that the maternity ward in Visegradska Street would work during the reconstruction as well and that the works would therefore last for three years.

– There will not be any moving, the facility will work for the duration of the works. It will not be ideal, but if we managed to finish the Infectious Diseases clinic while fighting the pandemic, I believe that everything is possible. It was necessary to make a plan with the management in Visegradska Street by which the operations of the clinic would be synchronized with the works – Blagojevic said for RTS at the time.
