Citizens expect inflation for year ahead to be 15%, companies 5%, and banks project 3.5%

According to a survey by the Bloomberg agency, the inflation expectations have remained unchanged in the January survey and are at 3.5%. The expected inflation, calculated through the composite measure of the inflation expectations, is lowered from 3.65% in November to 3.5% in December.
The inflation expectations of companies for a year ahead are increased from 4.6% in November to 5% in December. The medium-term inflation expectations of the corporate sector for two and three years ahead are also lowered. For this period, in December, they were at 4.9% for two years and 4% for three years, whereas in November, they were at 5%.
The short-term expectations of the citizens were higher than the expectations of other sectors. These expectations remain unchanged for the fifth month in a row and are at 15%. The expectations for two and three years ahead have grown from 10% in November to 12% in December.
The results of the survey point to the fact that the citizens expect the inflation in the next twelve months to be lower than it was in the previous year.
