21.5 million payments processed within NBS RTGS and clearing systems in December

In the course of 22 business days in December 2024, a total of 21.5 million payments were processed in the NBS RTGS (20.0 million or 92.9%) and clearing systems (1.5 million or 7.1%), the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) announced. The average number of payments was 977,846 per day, of which 908,637 in RTGS and 69,209 in clearing, the NBS says.

The value of turnover in the RTGS system amounted to RSD 23,805.4 billion, while clearing turnover reached RSD 39.5 billion, or 0.2% of the total.

Daily turnover in the RTGS and clearing systems averaged RSD 1,082.1 billion and RSD 1.8 billion, respectively.

As there was no downtime during 12,270 minutes of production of the NBS RTGS and clearing systems, the system availability was 100.0%.

Transactions worth EUR 151,862,142.76 were processed in the interbank and international clearing of foreign exchange payments, with 22 participants. As there was no downtime, the availability of these systems was 100.0%.
