The supply of water can no longer be entrusted to any company other than a public company or an entity majority owned by the Republic or the local self-government. This is stipulated by the Law on Public Utilities, which was adopted today by the Parliament of Serbia.

The same goes for trolley transport and cemeteries, whereas all other public utilities can be entrusted to other companies.

The Parliament of Serbia also adopted the Law on Mining and Geological Research, which will enable more efficient collection of fees for conducting geological researches and exploiting mineral raw materials, as well as greater control of operations of business subjects engaged in geological researches and the exploitation of mineral raw materials.
