External trade of Serbia in 11 months of 2024 higher by 3.9%

The overall external trade in the Republic of Serbia for the period January-November 2024 amounted to around EUR 62.3 billion, which was an increase of 3.9% compared to the same period last year, announced the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia. The value of exports amounted to
around EUR 26.8 billion, which was 1.7% increase compared to the same period last year. The value of imports amounted to EUR 35.4 billion, which was 5.7% increase when compared to the same period last year.

The deficit amounted to around EUR 8.6 billion, which was an increase of 20.4% compared to the same period last year.

The export - import ratio equaled 75.7% and was lower if compared to the same period last year when it was 78.7%.

The external trade in the reference period noted the highest level with the counties with which we have signed agreements on free trade. European Union member countries account for 58.6% of total external trade.

Our second major partner refers to the CEFTA countries, since our gained surplus in external trade amounted to EUR 2.6 billion, and export – import ratio equaled 274.3%.
