Company owned by Millennium Team buys famous construction company Mostogradnja for EUR 10 million

The company Mostogradnja ING, owner by Millennium Team, has bought the once famous construction company Mostogradnja at the initial price of RSD 1.18 billion (around EUR 10 million), announced the Bankruptcy Supervision Agency.

– As the Republic of Serbia, in accordance with the stipulations of the Law on Cultural Heritage, is the owner of the right of first refusal of the cultural good, the bankruptcy administrator will notify the Republic of Serbia about the achieved price and invite it to use the right of first refusal – the Agency adds.

If the state does not use the right of first refusal, Mostogradnja ING will become the owner of the administrative building in Vlajkoviceva Street, the industrial complex in Batajnica which encompasses a range of buildings and infrastructure, as well as land of over 12 ha, which is owned by the Republic of Serbia, and whose rights are carried by Mostogradnja.

Several facilities of temporary character in several locations in Belgrade and Gazivode are also part of the sale, as is the equipment – vehicles and construction machines, electrical equipment, office equipment and material stock.

Mostogradnja has been in bankruptcy for three years, and the majority of the property of what was once one of the biggest construction companies in the former Yugoslavia has been leased by Mostogradnja ING, owned by Millennium Team.

Let us remind that, previously, the Tax Administration proposed for the property which has the status of a cultural good to be separated from the rest of the property and sold in line with the Law on Protection of Cultural Goods. The Commercial Court in Belgrade rejected the complaint as unfounded. To clarify, the ad for the sale of Mostogradnja AD says that, for the cadaster parcel in Vlajkoviceva Street, where the administrative building of the former giant is located, there is an entry in the register saying that “the protected area of the cultural good – the modern garage in Belgrade”, which used to house the Car Museum, is also part of that facility.
