Arab investor interested in investing in Zemun

The president of the City Municipality of Zemun, Gavrilo Kovacevic, has talked with the ambassador of Serbia to Iraq, Branislav Zezelj, and the Iraqi businessman Mohammed Almohaisen, who has expressed an interest in investing in Zemun.

Almohaisen, the founder of Danube Investment Authority, which focuses on the development of innovations and productivity, highlighted the advantages of Zemun as a location for business investments. The geographic position, developed traffic infrastructure and a favorable position for connecting with the global market make this municipality attractive for investments in sectors such as IT, technology, fashion, cosmetics, tourism and marketing.

Ambassador Zezelj praised the support of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the local authorities in strengthening the economic relations with Iraq, emphasizing the importance of constant business communication to the end of realizing further joint successes.

Kovacevic thanked the guests for their visit and emphasized that cooperation with Iraqi investors would be a considerable incentive for a further development of Zemun, with special focus on financial investments and the creation of business incubators.

– Such projects will enable young people to gain experience in global business flows and contribute to the strengthening of the economy of the municipality – said Kovacevic.

At the meeting, steps toward further cooperation and media presentation of Iraqi investors were agreed, which opens the possibility of new business partnerships in Zemun.
