Cargo traffic bridge in Sepak, connection of Serbia and BiH, opens

The bridge on the border crossing Sepak, which connects Zvornik and Loznica, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, is open to cargo traffic as well from today, which marks the beginning of the implementation of the decision of the Mixed Commission on the Temporary Re-Categorization of the Border Crossing Sepak (BiH) – Trbusnica (Serbia), according to the initiative put forward by the City of Zvornik and the Indirect Taxation Administration, which was approved by all the competent organs.

This border crossing for international road transport of passengers has been temporarily recategorized into a border crossing for international road transport of passengers and goods, including the goods which, in line with the legislations of the parties to the agreement, are subject to inspection controls, except for those for which excise taxes are collected.

According to the decision, the procedure of the import, export and transit of goods, including the traffic of empty cargo vehicles weighing more than 5 tons, will take place at the customs outposts designated for it by the legislations of the parties to the agreement, whereas the border crossing will be opened to cargo traffic every work day between 9 AM and 1 PM and 10 PM and 6 AM, and between 10 PM and 6 AM on weekends.

Based on the Study about the Terms of Cargo Traffic Crossing from April 2024, during the crossing of cargo traffic, a maximum of two cargo vehicles can be on the bridge at the same time, it is forbidden to stay and stop cargo vehicles on the bridge, and the maximum weight of the vehicles that are allowed to cross is 44 tons, with a maximum axle load of 9 tons, as announced on the website of the City of Zvornik.
