Intersport in Serbia to switch to partner business model – Part of retail network to be gradually closed

Intersport, a multibrand sports chain, has decided to shift its business model in Serbia to partner cooperation with local partners, the company announced. The brand will remain present in the country through the partner model, whereby the partners will take over the operations of a considerable number of the existing Intersport stores in the country.

As a result of the change of the business model, a small part of the existing retail network of Intersport Srbija, which will not be included in the partnership agreement, will gradually get closed.

– Switching to the partnership model is a step we’re taking in order for Intersport to continue its presence and growth in the Serbian market. I am convinced that this move will contribute to the development of the market of sports equipment in Serbia – said Andrej Azbe, the CEO of Intersport ISI, which owns Intersport Srbija.
