Second phase of project of Linglong factory in Zrenjanin launched – Assembling of equipment in progress

The second phase of the project of the Linglong factory in Zrenjanin has been launched and the assembling of the equipment is in progress, stated the CEO of the Chinese company, Wang Feng, at the meeting with the president of the Provincial Government, Maja Gojkovic.

She talked to Feng about the company’s operations in Serbia, as well as the possibilities of establishing cooperation in other fields, as announced on the website of the Government of Vojvodina.

Gojkovic said that the meeting was an excellent basis for the concretization of the signed memorandum between the University of Novi Sad and the Agricultural University in China, during the official visit of the delegation of the Shandong Province to Serbia in September.

Feng said that Linglong primarily produced tires, but that they intended to expand their activities to the field of agriculture and that they were interested in establishing cooperation in that field, given Vojvodina’s large agricultural potential.

Gojkovic and Feng agreed that the possibilities of cooperation in agriculture were big, from producing to processing food products.

Let us remind that the serial tire production at the Linglong factory in Serbia began in September, and back in August, as eKapija wrote at the time, Linglong announced that it would invest USD 645 million in stepping up the production in Zrenjanin and that the expansion of the factory’s capacities would begin in January.
