During November, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS) will organize numerous promotional activities within the “Dual Education Month” event and thereby additionally bring the importance of this manner of education closer to business people, but also to students and their parents who consider developing their careers.

– Throughout Serbia, numerous events such as a panel discussion about the results so far, the effects and the further development of dual education, a conference at which various actors will talk about the importance of this education model, as well as round tables with project partners, will be organized – said Mirjana Kovacevic, the head of the Center for Education Dual Education and Education Policies and the director of the Business Academy of the CCIS.

During the “Dual Education Month” in Serbia, the Dual Education Marketing Strategy, which aims to point to the future directions, as well as the surveys carried out by Swiss dual education experts, will be presented to partner institutions.

CCIS representatives will visit companies in several cities and municipalities throughout Serbia and check how dual education works in practice. The closing activity of the event will be the award ceremony for companies which have made a considerable contribution to the development of dual education, the CCIS says in its press release.

In addition to numerous promotional activities, it is added, in the coming period, the topic of registering companies will be current, considering that the CCIS has invited all interested employers to apply for the realization of dual education for the school year 2025/2026.

“The dual education model has so far, let us remind, encompassed more than 1,100 companies and 19,100 students,” added Kovacevic.

At yesterday’s meeting with the press, she explained that, in the coming school year, there would be as many as 92 education profiles from 12 different fields of work on offer, among them six new ones, introduced at the initiative of the education sector institutions: print finishing technician, waste management technician, optical mechanic, optical technician, photography technician, as well as motor vehicle mechanical technician.

By January 15, 2025, interested companies may apply in three simple and quick steps through the dual education web portal which is available at the link: https://portal.dualnoobrazovanje.rs/.

In addition to the employers that the CCIS cooperates with in this field for years now, during this year’s enrollment policy, the focus will also be on including companies which operate in municipalities in which dual education has not been realized so far. The final decision on the structure of the enrollment of the students and the approved dual profiles will be made by the Ministry of Education by opening the Contest for the enrollment of students in high schools, which is expected for the end of April 2025.
