Serbia second biggest foreign investor in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The director of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA), Marko Kubatlija, and his associates, met this Friday in Belgrade with the ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Serbia, Aleksandar Vranjes.

They talked about the investments that companies from Serbia had realized in Serbia up till that point, the announced investments and the current economic cooperation between the two countries.


It was pointed out that Serbia was second on the list of countries – foreign investors in B&H, with investments worth 2.7 billion convertible marks and a share of 13.8% in total investments.

Among the most significant investors from the Republic of Serbia in B&H are: Telekom Srbija; NIS - Naftna Industrija Srbije; Koncern Hemofarm; Swisslion-Takovo; Imlek a.d. investicije and Delta Holding.

At the meeting, it was also pointed out that the Embassy of B&H in Serbia would be a partner for the organization of investment events for attracting potential foreign investors, where representatives of FIPA would present B&H’s potentials for investments.

The current economic trends and the state of the economy in Serbia open the possibility of considerable cooperation and concretization of future joint projects with FIPA.
