EUR 6 billion from Growth Plan for Western Balkans to start being allocated before end-year

Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission, has stated that the countries of the Western Balkans should get the first funds from the Growth Plan before the end of the year.

– Five of the six reform agendas will be adopted this week and that means that the payment of the EUR 6 billion from the Growth Plan could begin before the end of the year – she told the press in Berlin.

She pointed out that the Growth Plan was a bridge between the Common Regional Market and the EU Single Market.

Yesterday, the Berlin Process Summit was held in Berlin and the new Action Plan for the Common Regional Market was adopted.
