Cacanska Banka expects EUR 1.1 million profit in 2011

Cacanska Banka, with the Republic of Serbia and international finance institutions as its largest shareholders, has announced a business plan foreseeing a RSD 114.8 million profit before taxation in 2011, which would be the Bank's best final result since 2008.
According to that plan, the management of Cacanska Banka expects its assets to reach the value of RSD 33.5 billion until the year's end, thus growing by 17% since the beginning of the year. The Bank's largest shareholder is the Republic of Serbia with the stake of 28.5%, whereas London-based EBRD and IFC hold stakes of 24.99% and 19.99%, respectively.
The shares of Cacanska Banka have lately lost in value on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, and their price has dropped by 28.3% since the beginning of the year. With the latest price of RSD 10,400 per share, this regional bank's market capitalization amounts to RSD 1.9 billion (about EUR 19 million).
