The Serbian parliament adopted Tuesday the proposed 2011 budget review, envisaging a deficit of RSD 142.7 billion, which was previously agreed with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The proposed budget review was backed by all ruling parties, including the League of Socialistic Democrats of Vojvodina and the Association of Hungarians from Vojvodina, which objected to the budget earmarks for Vojvodina.

The Serbian government has adopted the amendment proposed by the Association of Hungarians from Vojvodina, which stipulates that the funds earmarked by that law to cover Vojvodina's capital expenditures shall be transferred to the budget of that province in Q4 in three equal tranches - on November 1st, November 15th, and December 1st.
