International Telecommunication Union: Serbia among most successful countries in field of information security

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a specialized agency of the United Nations (UN), has placed Serbia among the most successful countries in the context of the global information security index. This is said in the ITU publication titled “Global Cybersecurity Index 2024”, according to the Ministry of Information and Telecommunications of Serbia.

According to this ranking, Serbia is in the first of the five groups of countries encompassing the countries with the highest level of development in the field of information security.

The ITU assesses national efforts across five pillars, representing country-level cybersecurity commitments: legal, technical, organizational, capacity development, and cooperation. Serbia is recognized as one of the leading countries in all these aspects, which confirms the considerable contribution of our country to securing the high level of information security, it is added.
