Macva gets swimming pools - Construction of Vladimirci sports and recreation center kicks off

Works on the first phase of the facility of a sports and recreation center in Vladimirci have started. Contractors are Valjevo-based companies Kej and Komgrad, while the investor is the municipality of Vladimirci, reads a statement published on the website of the company Kej.

The swimming and recreation center Vladimirci is designed as a representative complex comprising outdoor swimming pools, a pool for swimmers (40x25 meters, 2.20 meters deep), and a pool for children (12x5 meters, 0.90 meters deep).

Once completed, the swimming pool for adults can also be used for swimming and water polo competitions. According to the project, this pool will also have stands on the norther side, with eight rows of seats.

The complex will include a restaurant with a bar and an open-air section, which should operate independently of the swimming pools, during the whole year. Users of the recreation center will have locker rooms at their disposal, as well as premises underneath the stands, which will be suitable for various sports and recreation activities. There will also be three prefabricated food booths.

The first phase of works will last until early November 2011, and the plan is to carry out construction works on locker rooms and the Olympic swimming pool and plumbing and sewerage installation works in that period.

The author of the project is architect Zoran Velovic, representative of the Belgrade company VPPP Velika Morava, whereas the supervisor is Nebojsa Radovic.
