Italian company "IVT" gets closer to the purchase of a part of Zastava's trucks factory

Representatives of the Italian company "IVT" from Torrino started negotiations with persons in charge within Kragujevac Zastava about the purchase of a part of Zastava's truck factory.

In the letter of intentions, managers of "IVT" claim that they plan to manufacture up to 1.000 trucks per year in the perspective, in Zastava. They also plan to reopen cooperation with the Italian "Iveco", which has been since the beginning in 1990's a strategic partner of the company "Zastava trucks".

Besides IVT company for the purchase of a part of "Zastava's trucks", one Croatian company is also interested. Not like Italians who are still looking up into which part of the Trucks should take over, Croats, according to official information, are interested in buying of one department "Proleter" (manufactures truck and car pipe and blowing pots and special build up parts for trucks). For the purchase of this department up till recentley was also interested a Slovenian company "Viator Vektor", but they dropped from participation in privatization of Zastava's truck factory.
