International fair of tourism has started in Belgrade - their services would be representing these days around 700 exhibitors from 50 world countries

International fair of tourism was opened on April, 19th, 2006, at the Belgrade fair, and by the number of exhibitors and by the ground area of around 15.000 m2 where it takes place, it has become the most significant touristic exhibition at the Balkans with the ambitiom to become the leading manifestation of this type in South Eastern Europe.

The central theme of this fair will be promotion of Strategy for tourism development in Serbia, appointed for April, 20th, at 12 a.m., and the Ministry of trade and tourism of Serbia will on this occasion put the accent on the development of Serbian country tourism. Its stand on the fair will also have Ministry of culture, which would promote Roman heritage, Serbian fortresses and archeological findings, and Ministry for Serbian community abroad will provide information about possibilities of investments in the Serbian tourism.

Around 700 exhibitors from 50 countries would participate at the fair, 130 touristic center from the country, and more than a 100 tour operators which will represent around 60.000 touristic destinations in 60 countries, and more than 200 journalists from the country and abroad have been acredited.

An important novelty is that within this year's Fair of tourism there will be organized an exhibition of hunting and fishing, fair of horticulture, there will be prepaired promotion of hotel chains and equipment, and special place within the theme of tourism in big cities will take Belgrade and Novi Sad.
