Tabakovic: Inflation 4% by year-end, GDP growth 3.8%

The inflation in Serbia will amount to 4% by the end of this year, and in the next two years, it will continue moving within the target band of 3%, plus/minus 1.5%, said the governor of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS), Jorgovanka Tabakovic.

– Core inflation too will slow down until the end of the year and approach headline inflation next year – Tabakovic said at the presentation of the report on the inflation, whose year-on-year growth in July was at 4.3%.

She said that the NBS had raised its projection of the GDP growth for 2024 to 3.8%, from the 3.5% projected in May.
