Union of creators of flowers and decorative plants has been founded

Chamber of commerce of Serbia announced that there had been founded Union of flowers and decorative plants creators within the chamber, in order to achieve better position of our country at this market, considering that there has been an increase in the consumption of flowers.

Foreign trade exchange of the flowers and decorative plants in 2005 was 4.600 tones, and its value was 10.5 millions dollars. Out of that from Serbia was exported 1.100 tone, and imported 3.500 tones.

From the Chamber of commerce of Serbia, it is stated that the goal is to make a profitable production side and for that it is necessary to increase the level of knwoledge, of production and experience from the world and to simply apply them.

According to the data of Chamber, mostly roses are being exported, and as for the import on the first place is cut flowrs, then live flowers, and something smaller is the import of semens, semen materials, decorative and dried plants.

The most important export markets are Bosnia and Herzegovina, Holland, Croatia and Russian federation, and for the import Holland and the rest of the countries from the European union.
