Security leader grows stronger - Securitas AB acquires Sistem FTO

The company Securitas AB signed Thursday in Belgrade an agreement on the takeover of the company Sistem FTO. With this acquisition, Securitas Services becomes the leader in the security services market, as well as the largest employer in Serbia in the field of private security, with 6,500 employees.
This agreement was signed by Djordje Vucinic, chairman of the Managing Board of Securitas Services d.o.o., and Milovan Milosevic, founder and director general of FTO Sistem.
As people at Securitas AB told eKapija, Thursday's agreement is a result of the implementation of a development strategy adopted in 2007, by which that company headquartered in Stockholm plans and carries out gradual expansion of its business network on the territory of whole Europe, especially on the territory of eastern Europe.
With 295,000 employees, Securitas is one of global leaders among companies rendering security services in the field of private security. It operates in over 49 countries in Europe, North and South America, the Near East, and Asia.
On the territory of Serbia, Securitas has about 3,300 employees.
The company Sistem FTO, which yesterday became a member of the Securitas family, was founded in 1996 and it currently employs about 3,200 people. Through its years-long experience and practice, Sistem FTO has gained a high reputation and a prestigious position in the security services market.
This company holds certificates ISO 9001:2008 and SRPS ISO 9001:2008, and it also has a license to do the security and industrial safety jobs.
